Joyea Marshall-Crowley
Executive Director/Founder
E.M.C Community, founded by Joyea Marshall-Crowley in 2023, is a faith-driven initiative inspired by God and the birth of her youngest son in 2022. As a mother of three, Joyea recognized the challenges facing today’s youth—selfishness, lack of motivation, and a disconnect from self and community. She felt called to create a solution that would instill purpose, compassion, and responsibility in the next generation. The name E.M.C, which stands for “Every Moment Counts” serves as both a reminder of the value in every moment and a tribute to her children, symbolizing the love and legacy she hopes to pass on.
At E.M.C Community, we believe that every young person is created with a divine purpose. Our mission is to break patterns of disengagement and disconnection by helping youth recognize their God-given worth, talents, and abilities. Through our Benevo Youth and Benevo Bonds programs, we equip young people with essential life skills, leadership development, and career readiness training, ensuring they are prepared for the world and positioned for success. More than just gaining skills for themselves, we empower youth to use their gifts to serve others, strengthening their communities through faith-driven service, mentorship, and acts of benevolence.
Join us in our mission— where every moment counts, and together, we can raise a generation prepared to thrive, lead, and serve with purpose!
